Client or Parent of Client
At Vancouver Speech Therapy we highly value collaboration! Whether you are the client or the parent of the client your input is necessary for progress. As the parent you know your child best so your goals are our priorities. Your input is valuable. At the end of every session whether it’s in home or online we take about 5 minutes to debrief you, the parent on what was done, progress and ideas for next session. It is important for us at Vancouver Speech Therapy to ensure you are informed about your child’s progress regularly and feel like you are apart of the therapeutic process.
Registered Speech and Language Pathologist
Hi, my name is Aman Sahnan! I graduated from the University of Alberta with my Masters in Speech Language Pathology in 2018. I have experience working in public and private settings. I started working with the Edmonton Catholic School District where I tended to preschool and kinder aged children with a range of speech/language and developmental disorders. I also worked at a private agency in Burnaby, where I began my work with a wider age range from preschool to school aged children. I am especially motivated to support non-verbal children find alternative means to communicate.
I also enjoy working with Adults, specifically on accent reduction. Having been brought up with a mom who experienced an accent I understand the obstacles some of us face when adjusting to a new country and learning a new language.
Certifications:

Hello! My name is Amanat Dhillon, and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). I completed my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Sydney in Australia in 2022.
My true passion lies in helping children discover their unique voice and empowering them to communicate in the way that best suits their individual needs. I firmly believe that effective communication is crucial for a child’s overall development and social interactions.
take a holistic and family-centered approach, recognizing the importance of collaboration with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in a child’s care. By actively involving families in therapy and providing them with the necessary tools and strategies, I aim to empower them to support their child’s communication development both during and beyond our therapy sessions.

Hello! My name is Mary Dyck and I am a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant with Vancouver Speech Therapy. I started my career with children as the Senior Behaviour Interventionist in 2017 with a local clinic in Abbotsford, working with clients aged 2-18 years old. My work there included everything from teaching self care and regulation, to communication and social skills. I had always considered behaviour to be my calling, but in 2019 I was asked to take on the additional role of SLP Assistant, and soon discovered where my true passion lies. Working with nonverbal children has been especially rewarding to me. Being able to help grow a child’s ability to communicate their wants and needs, as well as support their families in their goals for their child, has been such an amazing experience. I take great care to ensure that each kiddo I work with has a positive experience in our sessions, is provided with the support they need to succeed, and looks forward to their next visit to our clinic
